I grew up in Cincinnati, with a family farm in Batavia that shaped how I understand land, home, and the spaces in between. Time spent there—moving between house, field, and outbuildings—instilled an early awareness that buildings are not isolated objects. They are part of a larger system: shaped by use, by people, and by the rhythms of daily life.

I come from a large, close-knit family, where gathering, making, and maintaining things together was a constant. That experience continues to inform how I approach design today. Homes are not just places to live—they are frameworks for relationships, memory, and continuity over time.

My work is grounded in three ideas: Home, Heritage, and Habitat.

  • Home is about clarity and function—spaces that are intuitive, efficient, and built to support everyday life.

  • Heritage reflects a respect for craft, tradition, and the stories that shape a place.

  • Habitat considers the broader context—how a home sits within the land, responding to environment, climate, and use.

As an architect, my role is to bring these ideas into alignment. Each project is an act of coordination—between site, structure, material, and people—so that the result feels cohesive, purposeful, and lasting.
